Wardrobing advice is free of charge at Mirella's. Our suggestions will help keep your wardrobe current to fashion trends. Every women has a favorite item of clothing. At Mirella's we will help you take that item further by adding new accessories or updating by featuring new separates to work with your existing clothing.

Alterations:

Domenica DiPietro comes to us with six years in the bridal industry. She is available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am-5pm. Domenica takes care of all her clients from the search and selection phase to the final fittings. Please make an appointment with Domenica, to help you with your special outfit. If for any reason you can not find a suitable look, she will give you suggestions to create an outfit to best suit you. Please allow 6-8 weeks for made to measure apparel. Mirella Marsilio began her career as a sales representative in retail boutiques. While completing her 3 year BA in philosophy and psychology at McMaster University, she began her entrepreneurship in a small loft inside a gentleman’s store. Within 9 months she developed a great clientele and expanded to a 1400 square foot store in Hamilton's Jackson Square. In 1996, she moved into a 2000 square foot Image of owner Mirella Marsilio

home in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Her clientele grew and wanted to see her expand. Mirella began her part time studies in the design program at Mohawk College, while running her shop. Creating her own collection, she decided to incorporate it into her business. In March 2005, Mirella came across a charming storefront in downtown Burlington. With a busy lifestyle running both stores, she became pregnant with twins and had to cut back her time at the shop. After closing the Hamilton location in 2006, she continues to concentrate all her efforts to bring her customers the best of Canadian Designs. Today, Mirella finds little time to design, with 3 children under the age of 7. However, she works hard to bring a sense of style and fit to her clients, never compromising her attention to detail.

Philosophy

A sense of style is created and portrayed well when you feel good in your clothes. It is important to invest in a good wardrobe that reflects your personality. At Mirella's, we are devoted to making this happen for each one of our customers. We want to ensure that you look and feel your best in every garment you purchase from us. If you ever find yourself in need of having a button replaced, a seam fixed or other minor repairs, simply bring the item back to our store to have the adjustments made free of charge.
