Opened in 1961 the Hills and Woods course was carved out of a dairy farm and opened under the name of Windsor Park. Built by the Windsor family the course was sold in 1985 to the Sheppard family and has seen steady improvement since. In 1994 the lakes course opened adding another nine holes to the original 18. Built by Ontario Greens the bent grass greens are of USGA construction and are complimented with bentgrass fairways and tees. In 1998 the course upgraded their irrigation system to a computer controlled Rainbird system to improve turf quality and water conservation.
A new clubhouse was constructed in 2000, and is capable of hosting tournaments of up to 300 people, with a separate members lounge both tournament players and members can enjoy the clubhouse in harmony. From the fully stocked pro shop, to fine dinning in the clubhouse, Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club is a great place to play.
