Ever since Swiss Chalet fired up it's first slow roasting rotisserie oven back in 1954, our delicious chicken, fresh cut fries, popular dipping sauce, and warm welcoming environment have been bringing Canadians back for more.
The first Swiss Chalet opened on Toronto's Bloor St. in 1954 and there are now more than 190 restaurants across Canada and the United States serving up delicious signature rotisserie chicken and a variety of other menu items - available in our dining room, for take out and delivery.
Swiss Chalet's unique, crispy, rotisserie chicken was inspired by a secret Swiss recipe discovered by founder Rick Mauran, from Montreal. Today, the rotisserie -a large open flamed oven- that slowly roasts the chicken in it's own juices so it's crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside - is still the heart of every Swiss Chalet!
